Who We Are

Eamon Taggart

Eamon has been working behind cameras for over 20 years, making him one of the most experienced broadcast cameramen in Ireland. When you add in his 26 years of diving experience and 24 years of underwater filming, he is also one of the most versatile cameramen around!

Eamon has covered every major Irish sporting event over the past 20 years including the Ryder Cup, the Rugby World Cup, the Special Olympics, the Irish and European Opens, the Dublin Horse Show and the Heineken Cup. Additionally, he has provided news and current affairs coverage for RTE, the BBC and a variety of international broadcasters from the United States and Europe.

Eamon has also done camera work for many popular Irish television programmes including two of RTE’s flagship shows, Nationwide and The Afternoon Show. He has also worked with a wide variety of big name national and international companies filming corporate events, internal marketing and training videos and external marketing films.

Two years ago, Eamon noticed that there was a lack of high-quality film production for the quickly expanding online market and he set up Horizon Productions with the aim of providing broadcast quality production for this market.

Many people don’t realise that Eamon doesn’t drink alcohol at all and find this especially surprising after spending five or more minutes with him.

Jason has been working with Eamon since he left college over five years ago, covering many of Horizon Productions’ important projects for both corporate and broadcast clients.

Jason is an experienced cameraman, with a wide-scope of knowledge across a variety of cameras. He is also a hugely talented editor specialising in fast turnaround, on-site edits covering corporate clients, broadcast news and sporting events. Jason has covered most of the major Irish sports events in the past five years.

“Boyband Jay” is probably the fastest editor in the west and has been known to leave smoking equipment in his wake.
